Breaking Point: Mutant Concepts

Here are a few concept for some miscellaneous creatures from my time on the production of Breaking Point. The game was intended to hold host to a number of different mutated abominations. The thumbs produced here were an exploratory phase of what the creatures were exactly and how they might fit into the world, varying from non-hostile infected human NPCs to creatures the players could gun down and eradicate.

This is the Vagrant. An idea I had for a NPC mimic of sorts. The creature was supposed to pose as a begger until the player offers them charity, only for them to be attacked by the post human mutant.

The Grey Apes where an idea I had for the original cause for the infectious mutation. The chimps where to be found in an underground lab, escaped there captors and run a murderous muck among the facility, player stumbling upon them while exploring.

These are some thumbs for a possible patient zero of the mutagenic plague. The idea centered around a highly mutated human still of sane mind, attempting to fight off the infection using medical equipment and treatment, attempting to find a cure.

Here is a skin texture exploration for the various mutants. Trying to establish a general skin texture, with the possibility of alternate variations.

This is a concept for a mutated dog I dubbed The Bargest. At this point we were unsure if we wanted the infection to spread to species other than human, this is an imagining of what a dog could look like with the mutation.
